RIM and India
I was wondering what level of market penetration the Blackberry had achieved outside of North America (NA) and started to “poke around”. Interesting article on Blackberry and Brightpoint Brightpoint here
A lot of press lately on Blackberry and China here http://blackberrysync.com/2007/10/china-finally-meets-blackberry/
Then there is India. Great article here that lays out what India has been proposing:

The article notes that they want RIM to lower the encryption and are attempting to strong arm RIM by stating that they may hack it themselves. This all in the name of counter terrorism. Here is my message to India…forget about it! The US doesn’t seem to have a problem with the situation. Probably the NSA has figured out a way to hack the network real time anyway. I guess India needs the encryption dumbed down so they can figure it out…If India doesn’t want the Blackberry too bad. Come to think of it they are a country notorious for their red tape.
